Maternal and Child
There is so much to learn at this momentous time. There are many decisions to make, and the most important is selecting a physician and hospital that meets your individual needs. From early pregnancy to birth, we assist parents-to-be, every step of the way through a wide variety of services designed just for them. Our family at ECRMC is delighted to share the knowledge, tools and experience to help face “labor day” and “new parent” roles with confidence.
After confirmation of your pregnancy, your physician will take the first steps to ensure a healthy pregnancy by arranging for your prenatal care. Since fetal development begins even before most women realize they are pregnant, it is crucial prenatal care starts early. Our goal at ECRMC is to ensure women and newborns experience a successful pregnancy and childbirth. Through a careful evaluation of the expectant mother and her medical history, we will discover anything that could potentially affect her, the pregnancy and the baby. Antenatal care is all the care a woman receives during her pregnancy. We offer a variety of Antenatal care services for both low and high risk pregnancies.
- Observation and evaluation for maternal and fetal well-being
- Intravenous hydration
- Medication administration
- Limited OB sonograms
- NST (Non-Stress Test) – Used to monitor a developing baby’s heart rate over time
- Amniocentesis (Also referred to as AFT) – A medical procedure used in prenatal diagnosis for genetic abnormalities and fetal infections.
