Message from the Chair

March, 2004

Dear Friends,

I’m asking for your help on behalf of your local hospital. This past June 27th our community dedicated El Centro Regional Medical Center’s new Medical Tower – a momentous occasion in your hospital’s nearly 50-year history of service to the Valley.

The features of this new Medical Tower will benefit each of us. Its state-of-the-art design, technology and well-trained staff will improve lives, in fact, save lives.

The cost of the construction, financed through revenue bonds, will be amortized from reserves in 25 years. Much of the equipment and furnishings are being purchased with contributions to the Building on a Legacy of Caring Campaign.

These tax-deductible contributions have not only helped equip and furnish this new building but they will also equip the new lobby, central registration, interview rooms, gift shop and chapel which are to be completed about this time next year.

Thanks to the generosity of so many, our campaign leaders and volunteers have received $1,701,970 in gifts and pledges but we must raise nearly $300,000 to reach our $2,000,000 goal.

I ask that you join me by making a pledge or gift to this vital project. With your support we can truly complete this phase of the expansion and modernization project.

Included you will find information on the project, ways and how you can give, the number of gifts still needed, a gift and pledge form and whom to contact.

Please be assured that all gifts will be acknowledged and that all donors will be recognized on the Honor Roll of Donors unless they wish to be anonymous.

I am grateful for this opportunity to ask for your help and generosity and thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,

Philip Heald, General Chairman
