Mission Statement:

“We raise funds, and acquire resources for your health,your hospital and your community.”

Commitment:

“To develop Philanthropic support for El Centro Regional Medical Center as it fulfills its mission to provide healthcare excellence for the Imperial Valley.”

The ECRMC Foundation was established to enhance the tradition of philanthropy that founded El Centro Regional Medical Center in the early 1950’s.

The Foundation facilitates the community’s relationship with and sense of ownership of the hospital and extends opportunities through tax-deductable philanthropic gifts and volunteerism as it continues to meet the increasing healthcare needs of the growing communities it serves.

The ECRMC Foundation Board of Directors was selected and Bylaws were approved on June 9, 2005.

The Foundation’s tax exemption 501 (C) 3 process was finalized July 2006.

Marty was hired on November 30, 2007 to continue and further develop philanthropic support for ECRMC.

Philanthropic Projects:

• Renovation of the Pediatrics Unit to include renovation of 12 rooms.
  • Goal of  $180,000
  • As of  March 2008, $147,000 in funds has been collected and pledged for the Pediatrics Project
• New Tower Construction
  • Goal to be announced

Special Events/Fund-Raising Plans:

• The Foundation’s 1^st Annual Mardi-Gras Fundraiser was held on February 8, 2008.
  • $80,000 was raised for the Pediatrics Renovation Project
• The Foundation is in the planning stage of the 1^st Annual “Feeling Ducky” Duck Race and Family Festival.  Tentative date of September 20, 2008, Bucklin Park.
