How to Prepare for Interventional Radiology Procedures
All special procedures are first scheduled as a consultation. This allows
for the physician to explain the type of procedure they will be performing
and gives the patient the opportunity to ask any questions they may have.
Once the consultation has been completed, the patient will be given an
appointment with instructions about their procedure.
Patient must bring all images pertaining to the area of interest from outside
facilities and bring a list of medications. The day of procedure patient
should arrive 30 minutes before their appointment time so they can register
and fill out any necessary paperwork.
What to Expect
The result will be sent to the ordering physician within 48 hours.
