VISITOR RESTRICTIONS EFFECTIVE APRIL 12, 2021

ECRMC is enforcing visitor restrictions until further notice.

A Customer Service Representative is posted at each entrance and will be SCREENING ALL PERSONS ENTERING THE HOSPITAL, CLINICS, and MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING.

Visitors with obvious cold/flu symptoms will not be allowed in the clinic or hospital.

Visitors will be allowed for the following reasons:‚Äč

  • One (1) parent with a pediatric patient at a time, but may change between two (2) parents during hospitalization
  • One (1) caregiver at a time, who is accompanying a patient that is mentally challenged, unable to be self - directed, unable to verbally communicate, or unable to physically stand or move for the duration of the hospitalization or clinic visit. Caregiver may change throughout the patient’s hospitalization or clinic visit.
  • One (1) support person at a time for Obstetric patients for duration of the hospitalization.
  • Only one (1) visitor per patient in the Emergency Room

Visitors accompanying patients who have an appointment, surgery, lab or radiology outpatient orders must return to their car or home and wait to be called when patient has completed their test/study/ surgery/appointment.

Visitors will NOT be able to visit patients at any time who are in airborne isolation, droplet isolation, TB, COVID-19 isolation, suspected or confirmed or on a non-closed respiratory support device.

Visitors who want to see an adult patient on a Medical-Surgical unit and NOT IN ISOLATION

  • Visitors will be allowed one (1) person at a time, during visiting hours (11am -5pm). Requesting an exception after visiting hours must be approved by the Department Director/Manager or House Charge RN. Requesting an exception during visiting hours must be reviewed and approved by the Chief Nursing Officer or designee. (NOTE: only one (1) person at a time can be present to maintain social distancing.)
  • One (1) caregiver at a time, who is accompanying a patient that is mentally challenged, unable to be self-directed, unable to verbally communicate, or unable to physically stand or move. Caregiver may change throughout patient’s stay.

Visitors who want to see an adult patient on a Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and NOT IN ISOLATION

  • Visitors will be allowed one (1) person at a time, during visiting hours (11am -5pm). Requesting an exception after visiting hours mustbe approved by the Department Director/Manager or House Charge RN. NOTE: only one (1) person at a time can be present to maintain social distancing. Requesting an exception during visiting hours must be reviewed and approved by the Chief Nursing Officer or designee.

Visitors are limited to be a significant other, mother, father and adult children over the age of 18:

  • During visiting hours(11am - 5pm) Mon-Fri, visitors must use the Main entrance and use ER Entrance Saturday, Sunday and Holidays for entering and exiting.
  • A greeter will ask the visitor the patient’s name and if someone is already visiting the patient, the visitor waiting to come in will be asked to wait until the current visitor has exited the hospital.
  • A badge with the patient room number will be issued to the visitor and must be visible and worn at all times while in the hospital. If visitor leaves the hospital and returns, then a new badge will be provided.
  • Visitors must wear a mask at all times.
  • Cafeteria is not open to the public. If the patient is sharing the room with another patient, visitors may not eat in the patient’s room.
  • Visitors must use the Public restrooms.
  • All waiting rooms are closed to visitors.
  • Wash hands before entering and exiting the room and when soiled.
  • Not allowed to wander in the corridors of the hospital.
  • Maintain social distance.

  • EMERGENCY ROOM (Pepper Drive)
    OPEN 24 HOURS/ 7 DAYS A WEEK

  • MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING (MOB)- Front door open
    Monday through Friday
    HOURS: 7:00AM – 5:00PM
