Rehabilitation Services

Fostering Recovery at El Centro Regional Medical Center

At El Centro Regional Medical Center, patients can expect comprehensive care that assists them throughout every stage of their medical issues. For many patients, this also means rehabilitation. ECRMC's rehabilitation services help countless patients recover from their medical issues and build the strength, mobility, and confidence they need to maintain or improve their quality of life.

Both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services are available to ECRMC patients, depending on the nature of their medical issue and their circumstances. The hospital's dedicated, experienced, and compassionate therapists and staff work closely with patients to create a plan tailored to their body and rehabilitation goals.

Why Is Rehabilitation So Important?

Rehabilitation is important because:

  • It helps patients stay active, independent, and healthy.
  • It helps increase strength and range of motion.
  • It helps reduce pain during recovery.
  • It helps prevent future injuries.

Starting Outpatient Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is only available with a doctor's prescription. If you have been prescribed physical therapy, you can visit the rehabilitation services office to register. This office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can schedule your first physical therapy session at the rehabilitation services department at the office, located on the north parking lot off Ross Avenue.

El Centro Regional Medical Center also provides speech-language therapy for patients whose speech may have been affected by a medical issue.
