Nutrition Services

ECRMC Nutrition Services

Our Nutrition Services department oversees food production for our 161-bed hospital and staff of over 900. The Nutrition Services Department also serves visitors and caters special hospital and community events during the year.

Nutrition plays an important role in your treatment and recovery. Our Registered Dietitians work closely with physicians to provide for all patients’ nutritional care during their stay. Dietitians follow the nutritional status of patients, oversee therapeutic diets, and provide nutrition education.

Registered Dietitians

ECRMC dietitians, experts in nutritional support, assess the nutritional status of our patients to identify those who are at nutritional risk. They develop nutritional care plans with physicians. Dietitians will visit patients during meal rounds to ensure that patients are eating well. Before discharge, a dietitian will educate patients and families about special diets prescribed by their physician(s). Registered dietitians hold bachelor’s degrees in nutrition and national board certification.

Room Service

ECRMC offers hotel-style room service to their patients, with fresh meals cooked and delivered to patient rooms in 45 minutes. Using technology from CBORD®, ECRMC will ensure that all meal orders are compliant with each patient’s diet order, as prescribed by their doctor. Menus also account for any food allergies patients might have. Patients will call-in orders to a trained representative who will guide them through the ordering process and help them choose from alternative selections if their initial choices do not comply with their diet order.


La Cocina provides food service for visitors and employees. It is open 7 days a week for dining and is in the center of the hospital's ground floor. Visitors and employees can choose hot entrées, salads, freshly made delicious sandwiches. The hospital has two outdoor patios for visitor and employee dining.

  • Our Deli is open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with chilled sandwiches, salads, desserts, and other items
  • Hot Breakfast Buffet: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
  • Hot Lunch Buffet: 11:00 p.m. (12:00 p.m. on weekends) to 2:00 p.m.
  • Hot Dinner Buffet: 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Vending Areas

Vending machines are available in two designated areas. These offer snacks, cold foods, and beverages 24 hours a day. These are located near both outside patios and the north lobby.
