health care. At El Centro Regional Medical Center, doctors rely on a full-service
testing facility staffed with Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Pathologists,
Medical Laboratory Technicians, and various other highly-trained professionals
to provide the insight needed to help patients heal. The lab is staffed
24/7 in case of emergencies.

diagnosis from their medical team, and they are committed to getting fast
results with short turnaround times.
Accreditation
The Robert J. Westcott Memorial laboratory at ECRMC is accredited by the
College of American Pathologists (CAP), making it one of only 7,000 medical
laboratories to hold such a distinction. CAP comprises Board-certified
pathologists and is a world leader in Clinical Laboratory Quality Assurance.
The Robert J. Westcott Memorial laboratory is the only medical lab in
Imperial Valley to hold this accreditation.
The ECRMC lab also utilizes Process Excellence® (PEx) processes to
streamline lab systems, reduce errors, and present patients and doctors
with the most timely and accurate lab results.
Courier Services
The ECRMC Laboratory also offers courier services for patient convenience.
These couriers are specially trained to handle medical specimens, and
they are available in El Centro, Brawley, Calexico, Holtville, and Imperial,
Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
