Clinical Research Trials

The Research Center at El Centro Regional Medical Center conducts clinical research trials that will benefit the health and well-being of our community. Clinical research involves individuals who consent to being evaluated before, during, and after medical or pharmaceutical intervention. Trials help researchers learn if treatments are safe and effective for people. With the help of clinical research trials and individuals who volunteer to participate in them, we find answers to important questions about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of medical conditions.

Every clinical trial has eligibility and exclusion criteria. Every potential research trial participant is assessed to determine if they are eligible for enrollment. Research staff will answer all questions and concerns to ensure that participants can decide if the risks and benefits of the trial are acceptable. We are dedicated to the safety and privacy of our participants. We believe that it is important that each participant be well informed throughout the duration of the clinical trial.

Insurance is not required to participate. All study-related procedures and study medication is provided at no cost to participants. Many of the studies at the ECRMC Research Center provide participant compensation to cover the cost of time and travel for study activities.

To see if you may qualify for one of our research trials please call (760) 370-8570 or email research.center@ecrmc.org
